Conducting a multi-cohort study in teacher training

The aim of the multi-cohort study is, on the one hand, to identify factors that have a positive or negative impact on teacher training in Berlin. On the other hand, the study aims to identify starting points for improving teacher training and to develop corresponding recommendations for action. The study results should contribute to both an increase in the future supply of teachers and to the further qualitative development of teacher training. To this end, qualitative and quantitative surveys are being conducted among various stakeholders. Those surveyed include students, trainee teachers, young professionals, university staff involved in teacher training, seminar leaders working in the field of preparatory service, and representatives of schools and school administration.
