Vocational Education and Training Sector Study Albania

This project examines the current status of the vocational training system in Albania as well as future projections for qualifications, competences and skills in the labour market throughout the country and in the 12 regions. On this basis, future training fields and needs and, in particular, potential starting points for Financial Cooperation between Germany and Albania will be identified.

Against this background, the demographic, economic and labour market development in Albania as a whole and in the individual regions will be examined first. Secondly, we will conduct future projections based on available studies, interviews with stakeholders and own assessments concerning the expected economic development and skills needs of the labour market. On this basis, potential areas or projects for future Financial Cooperation will then be identified and their potential and financing requirements specified.
