In August 2019, the Gesellschaft für Interkulturelles Zusammenleben (GIZ) gGmbH launched the ‘SuRe online’ pilot project funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family Affairs (SenBJF). The project focuses on an online platform for collegial case counselling using the SuRe method for teachers and educational specialists at schools. The SuRe method aims to expand pedagogical skills by reflecting on one's own actions and expanding the options available to the individual.
The pilot project ended in December 2019. Since January 2020, GIZ has been operating the SuRe online platform and training the coaches as part of a two-year follow-up project, also funded by SenBJF. This second phase of the SuRe online project is being evaluated by FiBS. The main aim is to ascertain what effects SuRe online has on coaches and participants and to what extent they consider the method to be helpful for their skills development. As part of the evaluation, the FiBS team conducts quantitative surveys, qualitative interviews and focus groups.
