Bologna Digital 2020

The topic of "digitisation" is attracting considerable attention in higher education in Germany and other European countries and presents new challenges and opportunities for the higher education system. And through European exchange, it presents a great the opportunity for peer-learning between European countries and universities.

The aim of this project is to continue and further develop the debate on a "Bologna Digital", initiated by a position paper "Bologna Digital" and accompanying presentations and blogs by authors of FiBS, KIRON and the Higher Education Forum for Digitisation in early 2018.

During the course of the project, the existing position paper will be completely revised and supplemented and prepared as a background paper for an international workshop to be held in December 2018.  The workshop will invite European experts and stakeholders to comment on and further develop the first background paper. Based on the results of the workshop, a white paper for a "Bologna Digital 2020" will be prepared. This paper will outline the opportunities and actions that can be taken by 2020 to improve teaching and learning in the Bologna area.
