Since autumn 2018, the Community Working Group "Competence Badges" has been exploring potential application scenarios for the implementation of digital certificates of competence, particularly in the context of higher education. In this article, Dr. Dominic Orr (Research Institute for Educational and Social Economics) and Prof. Dr. Ilona Buchem (Beuth University of Applied Sciences) describe the insights they gained from the first rounds of talks.
