Since September 2019 Karina Rodríguez has been working as a research fellow in the bilateral research project EXCOCHILE at FiBS. Within the project she records the status quo of vocational education and training in the mining sector in Chile.
Previously, Karina Rodríguez worked in the coordination team of the two Erasmus Mundus projects at Humboldt University in Berlin. The aim of these projects was to promote scientific exchange between Latin American and European universities and thus increase intercultural knowledge transfer and cooperation.
During her research stay in China Karina Rodríguez acquired her knowledge in dealing with survey instruments in qualitative and quantitative research. Karina Rodríguez began her professional career at Centro de Investigaciones Tropicales (CITRO) in Veracruz, Mexico. There she was responsible for the organisation of information exchange and communication between several transdisciplinary working groups.
Karina Rodríguez studied biology and a specialization in environmental diagnostics and management at University of Veracruz, Mexico. She holds a Master's degree in Integrated Natural Resource Management from Humboldt University, Berlin. Karina Rodríguez is also Chairman of the Board of the German-Mexican Society Berlin e.V. and an active member of the network of highly qualified Mexican specialists in Germany.
